Michigan Football Thoughts On Updated The Big Ten Schedule

Big Ten revealed each team’s conference opponents on Thursday for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, along with the thrilling news. That division would be completely abolished after the 2023 season. The increased 12-team playoff that is being introduced in 2024 will make college football even more thrilling.

Michigan Football Thoughts On Updated The Big Ten Schedule

The opponents in the Big Ten conference for the 2024–2025 seasons were recently revealed.

However, there are some concerns with the new schedule. I’ll discuss some of these issues in this essay as there is still much that needs to be gone through and understood.

Is The Big Ten Now The Hardest Conference?

There will be much greater competition during the meeting. For groups like Michigan football, Ohio State, and Penn State. This translates to more defeats and fewer victories.

That might seem like a drawback because everyone wants Michigan football to win the Big Ten yearly.

Iron, however, sharpens iron, as the adage goes. Two or three losses won’t necessarily put an end to championship hopes with the 12-team playoff. A squad like the Michigan football team will be able to compete for a national championship. That is the ultimate objective, even if they lose one or two games.

Due to their explosive offensive, USC is a significant addition. Ohio State is now the only learge Ten team to successfully score 50 or more points through the air. USC is here. There will be more offensive skills. And a more excellent range of offensive strategies available for Michigan football (and other teams).

The Big Ten will have a more substantial chance to win championships. And eventually, unseat the SEC as the most incredible conference since each team will be better prepared for the postseason.

What Will The Impact Be On The Ohio State Rivalry?

There is currently discussion surrounding this issue. The top two teams in the league will face off in the Big Ten schedule Championship under the new system, and both are likely to go to the postseason. This makes it highly possible that Michigan football and Ohio State might meet twice or three times in a single season, significantly lessening the significance of that last regular-season contest.

Game’s significance stems from its ability to determine whether a team will compete in the Big Ten Championship. Whether you make the playoffs or not. But if the two sides will face off the following week.

I detest the notion and am adamantly opposed to scheduling back-to-back games for the two rivals. To avoid facing each other in back-to-back weeks. Should The Game occur sooner in the season, given that divisions were already abandoned?

Although playing The Game in October makes me cringe, wouldn’t it be preferable to play back-to-back weeks occasionally? I disagree. In my opinion, the largest and best college football game is best saved for the final week of the regular season. Is chess a sport that involves skill and physical effort where an individual or team competes against others.
